I don't know if anyone will remember me from years ago, but really enjoyed membership of the Thumperclub for a while. I was quite well known for my incredibly scruffy XBR.
Hard times and too much work took me away from joining in with anything and I let my membership lapse. I even went 4 years without a bike on the road.
I started rebuilding my original XBR in the winter but didn't get time to finish it.
Luckily?? my car died and I decided to replace it with yet another XBR (my 4th) and went to collect one from Hampshire last Friday. It is so great!
I really want to get back in touch with you guys again. I am hoping to get to Stafford so might see someone there.
Do you still have a summer rally? I really enjoyed my last one, turning up late at the pub, soaking wet, having too much to drink and sleeping in the awining of Graham's tent.
Next night after too much to drink fell into my tent (literally) and woke up with it completely collapsed around me with gaping holes in it.
A brilliant weekend.
Ah well, off to a meeting (boring), but at least a nice ride to work in the morning.
Looking forward to keeping in touch.
