Fibreglass/Fairing repair and painting?
« on: April 10, 2010, 06:10:05 PM »
Hi All,

I'm swithering whether to claim for the recent damage to my Skorp on insewerats, or just to get it repaired myself, tried contacting Viper bike paints in Edinburgh but all the contact details don't work, I assume they must've gone bust :-/

So, anyone know of a good fairing repair place?
I need to send them the pics of the damage and get an idea if it's worth repairing or whether a new top fairing (£200 unpainted!  :o ) needs to be got...

Aye Smudge,

Bike Paints at Cupar used to do a lot of race stuff, plastic welding etc. Know their trade, but got very busy!

Here is the site: Bike Paints

Did a good cellulose job on the Duke tank 15 odd years ago, with 6 coats of laquer and still good. Mind you £120 at the time, wasn't a 'cheap job'! See what I mean?

Best of luck, Bill.
