Cats, are they stupid, lazy, or what?
« on: April 08, 2010, 06:00:30 PM »
My cat has been bouncing in and out of the flat through the back door. OK, she has to jump as I only open the top half of the door (it's a stable style door) when I am in the kitchen cooking and I appreciate there is a metal fire escape to walk down. But, the wretched animal has just come back in, settled down in her litter tray for a cr4p! Egad  :o :o

Needless to say, one cat was expedited exteriorly extremely efficiently and the back door made cat proof i.e. shut!

How does your cat behave when its pooping time? Am I alone in this torment? By the way, she is well able to do it outside, and the litter tray is just for overnight incident prevention.

The animal is vulnerable to attack when engaged in the act of defecation.  That's why they walk around in circles assessing the risk factors before relaxing into the expelling of their faeces.

If you provide an entirely safe environment for the cat, it will use it as it's Risk Assessment suggests it will live longer if it cra*s in the tray.

So.....next time it come in for a cra*, chuck a cup of ice cold water over it.....it will learn to do it on your neighbours spring-time 'finger tilthed' seed beds, like everyone else's does'. ::) ;D

I have two house cats so they crap in my house all the time...

We have two of the cat trays with lids and doors and I never smell anything from them.
For a while we only had one of those trays and thats the only one they would use. - I think they like having the privicy.

They still make sure no one is about before they go inside though.

Ahhh! yes, reminds me of my old cat many moons ago.Out in the garden crouched down, tail up,doing its business. When a mouse ran straight past her.Well, the poor old cat didn't know how to stop and chase so quick so just flinched at it as it ran by and carried on.Best decision i would say.
