2l fuel container
« on: April 07, 2010, 10:11:58 AM »
Has anyone got a Touratech/HG 2l plastic petrol container.

I've just bought one and under the cap is a spout that fits into the opening but no means to retain it there for use. Is there a part missing or is it just a push fit, I phoned HG in Cardiff and they say they are all like that but couldn't understand it either. ???

I seem to recall it just pushes in. Purpose designed to drop in the tank so you get to use the special laser etched with a naked photo of Ewan Mcgregor, logo'd, forty quid, bit of chewing gum on a stick to fish it out and impress all your mates who only got the laser etched with a naked photo of Charlie Boreman, logo'd, thirty-seven quid, bit of tea strainer that pushes in the tank.
  ::)

Send it back and buy something that comes filled with nice cheap wine, creosote substitute or even fabric softner.

  don't you go touring with several 4x4s, a support crew and a sattelite phone?

 call yourself a biker? you wouldn't last five minutes hard-riding dow the Fulham road, particularly the 'extreme' part by the mini roundabout!

 ;)

Ah, now you're getting the hang of it. No more "touring with 4x4's...." ,you have to do extreme adventure trips to Sainsburys and adventure extreme adventure hardcore extreme adventure riding down the Fulham road to the mini roundabout. We'll have some tin boxes and a bashplate cum BBQ cum heliograph cum birdbath cum mirror for checking your make-up on that 350 yet  ;D
