JAP SRX Question

On most of the Jap SRXs I've seen they have what looks to be a cooling device attached to the underside... I can only guess this is for the oil?

How come the UK ones dont?

Its an oil tank. The space occupied by the oil tank on the twinshock bike is occupied by an electric start

I think SteveH will agree, ALL monoshock srx's came with the oil tank (which doubles as the cooler) slung at the front, behind the header pipes....thus it gets covered in clag and goes furry at the first sign if winter/salty roads!

As opposed to the sensible idea on the older twinshock which stashed the oil tank behind the engine where it stays nice and shiny.

It did mean that the oil cooler was separate though.

The thing under the engine is a Yoshi exhaust system, the thing behind the kickstart lever is the oil tank

Exhaust system?!?! damn... Does that do much to the performance other than weigh it down?

I Knew the oil tank was by the kickstart. I just thought he had an extra cooling system.

Never tried one but they are supposed to be really good. Pig ugly though
