It is nicely thought out, I'd seen the Duc before and I see he has his own style coming on. I like the tank detail very much, and the flipping round of the clip ons to give the top yoke a smoother aesthetic.

This one, just like nearly all the other 'bobbers' you see, has its singular/specific aesthetic spoilt by the rear number plate. All that smoothin' and removin' is so spoilt by the barn door back plate. Surely given that they are ridden by 'rebels' ,and are barely road legal anyway, a slightly smaller plate continuing over the wheel from the rear guard would be a better option. Or is it just me?

I guess it all depends where it is registered, some countries have a zero tolerance approach to 'illegal' plates.

What I like about Bobbers is that they tend not to have all that frivolous tat bolted to them that the custom boys love. That's what they share with cafe racers, the removal of all unecessary crap. It's just a shame (imho) that it's hard to build a convincing looking bobber using a single cylinder lump.

Not really Ouch, that supercharger-a-like casing on the back of the block is the gearbox, and the swingarm pivot point is only a few inches behind and inline with the countershaft sprocket.
If we are being really pedantic, then the JvB XF isn't a bobber at all, more a plain old custom. In fact onepot was very close to the idea of what makes a bobber a bobber (why do I want to write boober?) with

as to 'bob' a bike was to originally remove the heavy steel front mudguard and bobtail the rear.
Pedant mode off :)
