"Hardy dragoneers were camped out in the trees on the lower slopes, but the majority of campers negotiated the track to a hill top site, with camping spread across a variety of surfaces (and gradients!)."

"Hady Dragoneers" - shouldn't that read "late arrivals" ?

Negative that Richard, we arrived around lunchtime and were given the choice by the organisers, we chose the lower slopes and the trees and I for one am very glad we did, the camping was good and spacious, we could "visit" the marquee and the upper site and when ready leave both for some peace and quiet (except Andy, who had a night visitor who fell on him in his tent and broke a pole in his fall). With regards to "facilities" we had acres of unoccupied woodland to use. Even the sticker shows the rally in the trees. ;)

I've just added a youtube clip to the Dragon Rally website

When the clip has finished playing a list of related videos should be displayed, look for the one called Dragon Rally Photos, that's good too.

P.S. i have uploaded some dragon pics to this site too

Just in case anyone is interested I have added an account of my 2001 trip to my Dragon website

I'd be grateful of any of the fellas who were on that trip could read it and check the facts. It's pretty hard trying to write an account so many years after the event and it's likely that I have mixed up details from different rallies.

I've also added Mike Cater's 2002 Elefant rally story to the Elefant Tales section of the site.
