Calling Steve H
« on: January 21, 2010, 09:22:23 AM »
Hi Steve
Due to having lots of spare time to kill (had to have my appendix out last Tuesday)i was wondering if you have a file with all the old For Sale adds.I was looking for the ad that was on there which was for the SRX i bought. It will be back around just before October 2003.If i remember it was on for about £450 and advertised as an electric start twin shock in the Swansea/Cardiff area.

Regards
Alan

Alan,

Sorry that would have been deleted a long time ago and I dont have backups that go back that far. I seem to remember the guy worked at the university on a vehicle engineering related course.

Hope the appendix (or lack of) gets more comfortable soon.

I have had the spacers for the rear made out of S/Steel.Can you measure your rear wheel hub where the sprocket carrier sits including the PCD of the bolt holes to make sure yours is the same as mine.I have made them 7mm thick and i am going to machine 3mm off the back of the front sprocket to bring the chain into line.

Hi Alan,  info as requested

           Spigot diameter is 120m/m
PCD of bolt holes is 135m/m

Be careful about the 3m/m off the back of the front sprocket..you may need to use countersunk head bolts for the oil seal retaining plate otherwise the chain may foul....Hope this helps.
