It's a good look Boyd. I think the trick is to get it looking 'period' and not like a sanitised Storz body-kitted Sportster. That piccy of a similar (CB250RS-based) cafe racer I posted last summer had the look nailed, imho. See HERE... Firestone tyres FFS!

What'd you do that for? Just got the mental image of how I want things to look and you send me a curved ball. Now going for an amalgam of the two, lovin' the high rise pipe.....
Spent most of Sunday stripping the spare frame and grinding off any extraneous lugs and brackets. Wifey couldn't understand what all the fuss was about but I know angle grinding is good for you!
