Ahhh El Camino del Rey - I spend a wonderful week in El Chorro climbing some years back, the drop of the path is eeeeeeeeekkkkk - have some photos somewhere, the rock forms are brilliant - you can see in a couple of places in the vid where the bedding planes have been twisted on to the vertical.
The safety cable was not so much in evidence when we were there, though the path looks a little more degraded.
Part of the walk in takes you over the railway bridge where Frank S ran in Von Ryans Express, tere is (or was) still the sca on the rock where the Me109 'crashed' in to it after shooting FS up.
Whilst I was there we went round one of those tight un fenced corners and bumped into (and I mean bumped) Ron Fawset - one of the greatest climbers of all time - and he had a couple of moments of unbalance (him lil climber me big ox) and I had a brief panic that I had knocked him off the edge. As it was I had not, but I bought him a beer later.
