That is lovely. What a good effort. It's a shame it will never live up to its looks, but anyone would be proud to have that in their garage.

All depends what you mean by "live up to it's looks"... remember it's styled after a time where, outside the racetracks, 100mph was worthy of comment! A decent jap 250-400cc thumper like that, especially in a lightened cafe racer style is probably good for over 90, but with handling and brakes. Compare it to an RE Crusader Cafe Racer or similar and it looks pretty convincing
We tend to forget that we're spoiled in an era where almost everything will top the ton and 145mph bikes are classed as "tourers"
Oh and you're right, it looks lovely (to my weird sense of style anyway
