Egad, looks like 8 weeks of Wii playing! Hope your hand heals quickly. In my experience hand injuries are one of the most frustrating as you realise how much you use them.

Just mentioned this in passing to Mrs Rog, she just said = make sure he gets a GOOD physio.  Now how do you tell if it is good one - I dunno.  She could not expand on that - just one who knows what they are doing and have done hands before.  We had a friend who smashed up a hand in a climbing accident and the physio he was given by the NHS was not up to much, Jen stepped in there - but she is a children's specialist really - and made sure that Steve got back masses of movement and use that could have been lost.

It's a good point, and I think I'm OK there. The surgery was done at the plastic surgery unit at Leeds General, and the physio is attached to the specialist hand clinic there - they know about hands. That's why I'm continuing to make an inconvenient 40 mile journey each week, involving lifts and a train, rather than asking to see a physio at York, which is nearer.

Cheers
Richard

Aye Richard,

Sounds the best course of action.

Quackery is rife and having a physio do it rather than an 'unknown Manager' is infinitely preferable.

I sincerely hope all goes well.

Bill.
