The nice thing about those headlamp brackets is that it's easy to fit prettier indicators. I hadl little R&R bullet chrome ones on mine... they rusted in about half a day  ::)

Greetings Mr Blue. Don't mention you're a refugee from Ixion  ;) And don't listen to anything this lot say, or before you know it your shiny new bike will be covered in sh*te and have a sidecar bolted to it.

Ok, I won't!

Well it'll definitely be covered in shite before long (given my aversion to cleaning bikes) but I don't think a sidecar is on the cards! It doesn't seem a particularily obvious choice of bike for that anyway, so I was quite surprised to see that more that one such example exists.

It makes for a very nimble, lightweight outfit. Obviously not one that is ever going to go very quickly.

An Ixie! marvellous.

I think there are a few current and retired Ixies in the club (Ixion is a very long-lived and large motorcycling mailing list that has developed a 'culture' and even a vocabulary of its own).

Is marvin still spelt with a lower-case m? Are there still examples of EKS on the list?

I still wear my Smidsie robot wars T-shirt, bought via Ixion.

Not the only XBR in the Edinburgh area... though mine has been hiding in Dunf over recent months! If you need tools/brew/a look at a filthy XBR with a chair bolted to it(!) Drop me a line as I'll be back in circulation in early April (currently away with work).
I binned the floppy front indicators quite early as they were just TOO annoying but I believe they are standard.
If you saw a blue '02 MZ Mastiff piloted by a short bloke round Edin in recent years it was probably me btw  ;D
Anyway, welcome to the madhouse... it's a very sociable and friendly one!
