Hi Kurt, Silver Wing you say......well coming back from a ride in Wales last Sunday on my DR800S we (the wife & I) came up behind a scooter at a set of traffic lights. The lights changed and he took off and I was surprised at the acceleration, so instead of overtaking him, I followed, but he slowed for the next bend so I overtook, then on the next straight at 65mph (mobile speed camera site) he flew past at about 80mph, no camera, so I caught up until the next bend and his speed dropped dramatically and this carried on until I tired of being slowed in the corners, so I did an overtake and he moved across to block me, but he had to brake for the next bend and we sailed past the w*n*er. It was later that I discovered that it was an 8v fuel injected 600 twin twist and go scooter with 50bhp with my 10yr old DR having 52bhp....not much of an edge.
