I've had an interesting week in which our printer printed 100 copies of an '07 newsletter by accident, then he did exactly the same thing again. On both occasions he accused me (quite aggressively) of being in the wrong (which is pants, he printed the wrong file, there's no way I'm taking the blame for him not double-checking the filename). He assures me that he will be printing the correct newsletter tomorrow and I have a stack of envelopes here waiting to be filled.
I am also (at this very moment) sorting out membership cards for full and part time members.
My plan is to use the club's funds to supply a number of newsletters over the next few months. All full memberships that were valid for the start of '08 are still valid and will continue until I think we've done enough to start asking for full membership fees again. The internet only memberships are another issue.
In response to an earlier post, there is no reason, imho, to change the chairman, it's a role in name only and has no function. All power resided with the committee (when we had one) so why worry about who's got the President Yeltsin role when all the work was done by the sober souls of the committee? It's the admin jobs that really need a change of staff (I'm shite at admin).
It's only now that I have been able to get back in touch with club issues. I have restructured several things, (even down to little details like where my PC is housed) in order to enable me to work on-line more regularly.
There are several things in the pipeline, but I'll tell the members more when things are firmed up.

p.s some Newsletter articles wouldn't go amiss, some of you must have had adventures this summer.
