I rather like it, though it might be better with lights.

My own experience of the BMW club is that it may induce hernias, fits, clotting on the brain etc.........

I have never figured why people in the Britain don't like fiddling with older Beemers, they lend themselves to it as many foreigners know.

How often do you see a Cafed Beemer in the UK ?

http://www.cafeboxer.com/ has some pretty examples, a bit cleaner than the fleabay example.

i loved my r100, when it ran.

marginal charging and starting systems spoil what is otherwise an absolutely fantastic bike.

at less than 4'000rpm it feels as british as a BSA twin, above it feels like a Jap bike.

Think of them as a bike thats 50% Brit and 50% Jap, the only problem is that my fingers have been burnt and i can't bring myself to chance £1500 on another. Shame really, since i'll stick with a Jap bike thats 100% reliable but 20% interesting.
