Charging new battery
« on: June 02, 2008, 05:08:23 PM »
I've bought a new battery for my CS. I have an Accumate charger to get it going. I have the acid ready, but before I start...is there anything I need to watch out for? I have taken the (storage) plug out of the breather so as not to blow the house up but is there anything else? What is the optimum length of time to have it on it's first charge?

Cheers,

Bill

Aye Bill,

It should say on the box or the instructions that come with the battery.

If not go to this site:

http://www.yuasabatteries.com/index.html

Select the maintanence, spring start up bit.

Here's to a Spitfire, down the neck, Cheers, Bill.

Cheers Bill, I have the instructions but I thought there may be something that I needed to do/not do to get the optimum out of a battery's 1st charge. Anyway, I came in from my night shift and have charged it up. Tomorrow it will go on the bike. (The CS's location for the battery is bl**dy awful as the petrol tank is under the seat. Thanks for your advice mate.

Aye Bill,

Last week a work colleague went and saw Bruce at Old Trafford. He said the 50,000 audience was good, the performance for 2.5hrs straight through was great and Bruce was in good form. The £60-00 entrance was more than he anticipated, but after a 20 year wait the fix was worth it. Are you going to see him on this tour?

Still boppin', Bill.

Just off to bed after my night shift, battery on bike later. But as to the Boss, I last saw him (twice in a week ) at Earls court in 1999. I managed to get a 3-disc compilation of the Friday gig which was, as usual, awesome. What I like about Bruce is that he is so bloody versatile be it rock, blues, bluegrass. Every album is so different it's hard to have a favourite, but if pushed it would have to be Tunnel of Love.
Richard Littlejohn made me laugh yesterday in his column in the Mail yesterday when he said that, being a Spurs fan, coming away from the concert at  the Emirates Stadium on Saturday was the first time in years he'd come away from the Arsenal feeling like he'd been robbed!
