Roadside recovery

Can I ask for you comments on the best deals for roadside recovery. When you search on line all you get are loads of forms before the quote and I cant handle that more than a couple of times.

I've always been with the RAC, (doesn't matter what vehicle it is i'm in or on, or who owns it or who is driving).  Dont use them much, but when I did they were ok.  10% no claims discount on it if you dont use it for 12 months.

Not sure about cost but at least 85 quid I think....

They'll be getting my money again next year I'd reckon

I'm with the RAC, mainly because it covers all the family's vehicles on one policy. I believe Tescos are difficult to beat on price.

I'm with the AA. Just the basic no-frills roadside recovery package. It covers any vehicle I'm in or on. I've only been a member for about a year, must be due for renewal. I think it was about £40ish.

RAC service has been first class in the past.

AA were rubbish last time I used them, but that was a long time back.

Cheapest for Europe wide cover seems to be deals with your insurance. Just up for renual, Carole Nash on two bikes with all the bells and whistles beats three separate policies by about forty quid. Once you drop to TP on the bikes and basic recovery in UK, Tesco's etc. win.

i get full european breakdown recovery included in my carol nash policy. ive had to use it twice, both times we got a quick response and were taken back home with no bother. well worth it as its just a freeby on the bike insurance policy, and it covers all the bikes on the policy, meaning that any of the 4 bikes ive insured are also covered. check your bikes insurers, they may be able to offer you a similar deal for less money.

I'm with the RAC, always been prompt in recovery etc, also they cover for accidents as well as breakdowns, just incase the worst happens. I don't think the AA cover them.
My policy covers all mine and SWMBO vehicles for the same price.

I have both RAC and Carol Nash recovery, 3 years ago I had problems on The Norton near St Lo in Normandy I rang Carol Nash they arranged for a van to collect me from the Hotel next morning which they did took me to the ferry and there was a lorry waiting in the Uk when the ferry docked first rate sevice.The guys name I dealt with at Carol Nash was Elvis !!

The wife and I are with the AA and a jolly nice bunch they are too. Both of us have had call to use them and the service has been great. Practical too, when Dolly blew her battery, the AA man was all for heading to Bevans (bike dealer), picking up a new one and fitting it for me. Got the motor started in the end and he followed me home rather than call out a low loader to take me home.
Must have used them a dozen times between us and every time they were great.
