If you are a fan of the film 'Withnail and I' then you should use the 'listen again' facility
(CLICK HERE) to hear a fantastic radio 4 show called The Reunion. It was recorded at the British Film Institute and featured clips and comments from most of the people involved with the film.
I heard it the other day and thought it the most enjoyable piece of radio for a long time, if only for Richard E Grant's account of the wierdest Withnail fan moment he has had.
It was surprising to find out that that the film's backers hated the thing and wanted to cut large parts of it. The director even paid something like £30,000 of his own money to film one sequence that the backers refused to fund. However, he had the last laugh, the film is now considered a classic.
Cheers
