......is it quieter on the forum nowadays???
Just don't seem to be as many threads or replies or contributers come to think of it. I'm sure it's just an illusion created by the sub division, but I wonder what you lot think?

BTW, this is not to be taken as a critism of the new forum, far from it, but just an observation for discussion.

I was having some trouble with the antispam (is it an I or a 1) etc until noticed the A - F bit. I doubt that the format or controls are having much effect though - all the forums I've been interested in go through ups and downs in posting numbers from time to time.

I've been trying to commit to doing less as I seem to never be in the house (or country!!?)  but it's a tough time of year.
I'm sure it will get busier again though :-)

I don't think you should remove the spam controls. They are not really an obsticle to posting a genuine comment on a thread. But they do help to keep out the scumoftheearth spammers.

It might be the form of the code: sometimes it only shows 3 things but demands 5, and the figures shown seem deliberately unidentifiable as to what they're supposed to be. It sometimes takes me 3 goes to get it right.

Aye Pat,

Either your 'doing it' or your tapping away at the keyboard! Computers like the telly demand 100%, unlike steam radio or other audio delights. If things happen this winter, the 'Forums' maybe quieter 'cause the workshops occupied and next year will be out riding the B8ggers!

Who cares, as long as no one turns the light off as they leave the room and we all drip a drop as and when able, the melange, which is the strength of this Club, will carry on!
