Hmm, yamaha deltabox frame, forks look like they've come from something else... I'm guessing (wildly) TZR 125 or 250?
Wrong sort of frame for an RG...

Looks like I'm owe the stalwart a beer  :o ;D
I was thinking of RG250 not RGV  ::)

Very nice, except for that *HIDEOUS* headlamp!! First Ducati, then Kawasaki with some of theirs... is there a competition going that I don't know about to see who can build the ugliest bike  ???

Mind you, put a nice normal round lamp (like the XBR one) or a pretty half fairing and it would be just right  ;)

hello all,
Im the happy owner of the little monster
She is an 89 RGV Frame with a pair of 17"s and an USD 95 Front End running a '80 xt500 bored to 540 running wossner piston, billet cam, Carillo Rod, 65 gms extracted from exhaust port, 42 mm Delorto Pump, 1 and 3/4 stainless pipe produces double original factory bhp at rear wheel. I fabbed up a bracket for the MT01 Headlight (which I like) instead of what was originally an RD350 round. She runs full wet 120 kgs and stops on a penny. Sounds like a muscle car. God I luv it. Kids cry when they hear it, spiders fall off the wall and wriggle until they die. It is very in your face but like a Staffy its very loveable.
Lots more photos if anyones interested. mcoles1@yahoo.com.au andf view extra pics at www.picasaweb.com/mcoles01
happy thumping!
Mike

Looks great, even if I'd prefer the RD round lamp  ;) but it's your bike built the way you want and I'm jealous lol  ;D
Top job!  8)

Thanks Smudge and Squirrel appreciate the comments both good and bad. Its about indiv taste at the end of the day. who knows I might throw the RD350 round back on when Im sick of the mt01.
Thinking of a Aprilia mito, Duc 998 , R6 or Aprilia tail piece at some stage.
Really want to build a street 1930's sloper single Dunelt like my old mans but parts difficult to find.
Love the thump! Mike  .. down under

I'm on a '95 Dommie, but my little project is a '84 XBR cafe racer circa 1960's. no photos as there isn't much to photograph yet :'( We have a modified frame, spoked wheels & rear disc conversion and bespoke fibreglass bodywork just coming out of the shed as I type. When I mock it all together next week I'll try to post some piccies for everyone to laugh at. ;D
