Spring bike riding!

Got out of work at 02:00 hrs after 13hrs on duty, 1/2 inches of snow on the road and almost a white out.
By the time I got on the M1 snow 2 inches couldn't see the sides of the road as visibility was so bad. (5 lanes of motorway is not a place to get disorintated on)Speed down to 20mph or less at times, still trucks coming passed, but only creeping past so even they thought it was bad.
Arrived home to 4 inches of snow put the bike away and a quick Jamesons to fortify the soul. Went to bed, wife complained that I was late back and was upset this morning at the pools of water under the waterproofs I had hung up to dry.

Ohh I so glad spring is here!!

metcheck.com is showing lots of nice rain for this weekend. Typical, just got my request sanctioned to do some gardening and its going chuck it down. Oh well, it may encourage my spuds to show themselves and start growing!

I was going to maybe even wash my bike in preparation of getting it ready for 2 new tyres, fork oil change and oil + filter change.

Unfortunately I only really ride during the week; to and from work and it always seems to rain, or sleet, or snow. Summer is going to be good...
