I hope the 'hyperlink' above works, I'm a bit fear and trepidation.

Snow has returned North of Drumochter today! March in like a lion and out like a lamb.

Keep boppin', Bill.

When I was part of my mates drag racing crew,we used to see an M20 Drag Bike !
More of a novelty I think, but pretty quick just the same.
That used to be fun all sorts of singles and twins taking part.
Vincent Twins and Singles,Gold Stars,Jawa,Triumph,Yamaha,Ducati..etc.....etc...etc...!

Now THAT looks fun!

Who remembers 'Mighty mouse'  a Vincent comet drag bike, which truly was a giant killer, putting down multi engined monsters with consumate ease?

Steady SteveL,

I remember!

There was also a M\c shop in Dingwall which had a Goldie 350 in a home brewed low frame on meth' and a Wal Philips with cams like the Alps, if I remember right. A right 'Crack' off the open pipe.  ;D

They still running that sprint down at the old Bentwaters, I think?

Wonder how the 650 Bullet is preparing for the season, all quiet lately. ???

Tarra, Bill.

Brian Chapman made top bike in the MCN 1975 competition (you remember....when MCN actually took an interest in ALL forms of bike sport)

He was also the worlds first 8 (or sub 9 if you like) second 500, at santa pod in 77

I can remember chatting to Brian in the pits at Snetterton (they used the Norwich straight, when it was called the revett straight, and even longer than it is now!) and at that time (75)  he said he was still running on the mains that came with the engine from the factory (over 20 years previously!)

nice bit of info here for anyone who's interested
