Ho Hum
« on: March 02, 2008, 08:24:28 PM »
Looking at the weather this morning I thought it too nice to drive the car, so decided to take my youngest son to his football match on the bike.  Got everything ready, bike out, kitted up. I realised I was going to be standing in te middle of a cold field so decided to nip upstairs for a wee. "Wait there" I said "I wont be long". As cam down the stairs and out the front door a wailing child ran at me panicking. Seems he had decided to get on the bike whilst on the sidestand, and it tipped over. Luckily he was ok, just a bruised ego. The Skorpion didnt fair too badly, a broken brake lever, indicator, and a small scratch on the fairing lowers.
Problem is since teh cars isnt running I'm relying on the Skorpion to get to work !. I ended up robbing the master cylinder from the SRX and fitted some SZR indicators I found in a draw.
Not quite up to SteveL's antics last weekend but fun and games all the same.

Bad luck mate! It goes without saying it could have been a lot worse. Hope it hasn't put the little 'un off too badly...

Cheers for that, fitting the m/cyl from the SRX has made quite a difference. The front brake has changed from a binary device to something fairly progressive, so I'll probabaly try and chase up an SZR m/cylinder. Thanks for the offer.
