Got a couple of books on the Great War, one of which "Before Endeavours Fade" I have been after getting for years, so I am very pleased. A few items of clothing and a couple of Springsteen CDs. Oh, and a wind-up radio for my camping excursions in 2008....yippee, bring it on!  ;D

Yup, I got a wind-up radio too, a new battery charger, couple of shirts and a DVD box set of Twin Peaks series 2. The house is full of toys and loads of new playstation games so it's all good fun round here!  :D

A DAB radio and a couple of books, one detailing the history behind Rockfield Studios near Monmouth.

Bike wise Karen's mum buys the best presents, a wind up torch/mobile phone charger and hand knitted knee length socks.

Book wise I'm afraid it's a bit less literary here; Terry Pratchett and a Flashman novel  ;D

I didn't do too badly, tools for the garage, new MP3 player from No1 son  ;D  books, including 'The long way down'.  Also copy of Performance bikes from No2 son - not my usual read but they had a picture of  this in the back - it's sort of a single, actually half of a 2 litre Hardley Worthitson engine (1012cc!). The bit that look like a supercharger is actually the gearbox and note the run of the unguarded chain  :o :o...a tad too close to the knackers for my liking!

Nowt, rien, hakuna, nothing. Didn't go out or go anywhere. Stayed in both days, beans on toast and no booze on THE day, but I did get a letter from the tax man asking for just over three grand by the end of Jan so no joy for me.
Did start the DR tho but front brake dodgy again.

Bah humbug

Delaying tactics, that's the key Steve. Write back to the taxman asking for a breakdown of his demand. When that's arrived write back with an offer to pay in instalments. It might take a bit of the pressure off before your lottery win ;)

I had sent my Daytona boots back to be re-goretexed but they said they couldn't do it this time so would I like a new pair for half price (£120 instead of £240). As these are the best boots I've ever owned and they lasted ten years, I said yes please. However, I couldn't manage the £120 in one go so they have been languishing in the shop for months now. My mum and my wife agreed to help me with the wonga as a chrimbo pressie, so they were my main present.

My daughter bought me a very nice boxed, unused 70s hand drill (I'm a sucker for those pre-electric drills and whatnot).

My brother bought me a battery for my Bosch drill (the old had died), a box of beer (18 pints) and he had made a calendar with pictures of me at rallies, bikes and my kids. Ace pressie.

A bottle of Glenmorangie from wifey was a nice present too.

It was a good chrimbo for us and the kids all had a great time, which is the best bit. I did some snowy santa footprints on the front room carpet and they went flippo over that  ;)

The in-laws got me Mondo Enduro and Terra Circa on DVD.I don't want to appear ungrateful but I ended up paying for them myself as they reckoned they couldn't get them anywhere. The wife got me a belt sander,is that some kind of DIY hint?

Ooooooh, Mondo Enduro - marvellous stuff, and they are quite cheap these days I understand (the Mondo DVD used to cost about £40!).

Last night I watched the 'Last Hurrah' DVD, bloody great stuff, especially hearing the Panther and Norton 'doff doff doff' over the Karakoram highway.
