And I thought I had a rought trip! Glad everyones OK and not too much damage.
Made it home in fine style without breaking anything else. The list of damage for the weekend was:
Tonneau cover destroyed: The Russian stitching just exploded on the M-6 coming down.
Towel ruined: Used to tidy myself up after curing my missfire (again). Jethro's advice of using lithium grease will be put into practice.
Thermometer bracket snapped and thermometer ruined by torrential rain: That'll teach me to use plastic and electronics, I need to find a mechanical type.
GC's comments about the handling actually got me thinking. The M-5/M-6 were a bit of a pain and had me thinking it needs leading links. However, the A-??? past Hereford and the M-62 shows it to ride very easily without needing the steering input that was making my shoulder ache. A queue on the M-60 found the culprit. The M-5 and M-6 have huge grooves in lane 1 made by trucks and the sweet spot on the "crown" is too small to sit on. The M-62 is recently resurfaced and has a normal camber. It ain't the bike, it's the road! Once I get by sidecar muscles back in trim and get in on some nice well maintained (European) roads it'll be as plusg on the motorway as it was over the pass at the back of Llanthoney

It was a test run, so no worries really.
As usual, great company, well decent beer and a lot of laughs
