.. from the eareaeaeaeaeaartthhhhhhh

So Monday 26th November Led Zep with Jason not John Bonham will play the O2 arena in London.  Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Ah only 20,000 tickets -  not so good.

Ah £125 a touch - even worse.

Bugger buggger bhugger - where does a man on ICB find that sort of money - anyone want to buy a kidney?

and there is a possibility Cream will do something similar.

and i expect it'll cost the same and be equally unobtainable.

I'm rather hoping Dire Straites will have a go too

Ok-

My investigation has disappointed me.

This link:   http://www.londonticketshop.co.uk/buy/Led-Zeppelin.html

says tickets are from £377 to £977  .....!!!!

Actually 125 seems rather better!  Where did you see them for that price??

Isn't that kind of insane considering that they haven't played together for 30 years and won't play nearly as well as what you can download?

I beleive they are only available from here www.ahmettribute.com . Tickets are alloted using a ballot. The site seems to be up and down due to the high interest

I saw Robert Plant play last year. He's lost none of his talent and was excellent. Saw Page and Plant years ago, again fantastic.

Register for ballot at ahemettribute.com - seemed to work better for me without the www  Tickets are by ballot and they have said they will be rigerously following up and deleting blackmarket tickets,(really I thought it was a free market but still).  The people advertising them at silly prices are assuming they will be getting lots of them and are offering packages.  Limit of 2 tickets per houshold - how that works I am not sure.

Robert Plant is just fantastic live, Page never moved about a lot and still plays like the devil has his tail.  JPJ again never dynamic on stage just a bloody good base player (umm some sort of understatement there) and great on the keyboard.  Possibly the most dynamic of the Zeps was Bonzo - and he is dead and replaced but his lil boy.

Remember reading an interview with Bonzo once where he had been 'late' for a sound check and Jason had sat in for him.  Bonzo claimed it was the only time HE had seen Zep live, and the other guys said - possibly to wind up Bonzo - that they could not tell any real difference...

Now there is this guy in Port Talbot, personal friend of the Bonhams and Page who will have infettered access to tickets - simple question - why did I never cultivate that as a friendship?

I have to confess that I went to Knebworth when Led Zeppelin were the headlining band, but was so pi**ed that not only did I not see them I didn't even hear them!

Can't understand this 'reliving lost youth' thing, apart from the massive money it must make for those involved. For the sort of money they are asking to see these 'mega groups' I'd want it to be up-close-and-personal not some performing ants half a mile away. No doubt it will sell out, with the majority of tickets getting into the wrong hands.

Here endeth today rant.................
