Team Thumper
« on: August 27, 2007, 11:13:11 AM »
Firstly, thanks for the link in the Main Menu to our web site. The Team Thumper site is not the most sophisticated, but it was free and for the time being it will serve our needs. It is also an easy way to promote ourselves and display our small, but growing, number of sponsors.

Secondly, thanks to SteveH, SteveL and Alan Stringer for their messages of support posted on the forum section of our site. I have to apologize for seeming to 'ignore' the posting but I don't think we were expecting anyone to get in touch. It is most appreciated and at least makes us feel we are not aimlessly floating in cyberspace. Although the site is relatively new it will soon need a major overhaul as Andy has aquired a Tigcraft chassic in which to house the running gear of his current SRX620.

The last outing of the 'standard' SRX will be during the final SuperMono Rounds at Cadwell over the weekend of 6-7 October 2007. If you can make it look out for the red/white ambulance (which is apt as we both work for the NHS) in the paddock and we may make you a cuppa!

Cheers for now...............

Oooohh!!  Lots of new buttons on the forum!!

Thanks for the input on www.team-thumper.wetpaint.com

As ever, any help at all appreciated.  If anyone has any ideas of how to raise cash, or how to get help with various jobs, please let me know.  I am entirely desparate, so will not "poo-poo" any ideas.  I will advertise your business, wear a freind's business's teeshirt, paint the bike your colour, put webaddresses on the wagon, lid, etc etc.

Also, I still have lots of SRX parts, especially a chassis and 400 engine in glasgow.

Ideally, I think we'll need to get an ally tank made.  (The Tigcraft originally had a carbon fibre job, but I think its just asking too much for this to turn up!!)

At least 50% of team-thumper will be at the morini day at cadwell.  Boyd??  All other thumper riders encouraged to attend!!

see you!

Andy (and SteveL)
If you are running the SRX I might be able to get the day off. It would be good to use the track day as preparation for the SuperMono event!

???  Andy/Boyd, As far as I know(unless James tells you differently), this chassis was used for a few years up to about 3/4 years ago by James (fitted with a Slipstream srx motor) & an ALLOY tank. He then obtained another tigcraft chassis & I think he told me that he used the same tank (hence no tank with this frame!)

Ally tanks

This "guy" seems well priced and I have seen his tanks - mmmm vvvvvv nice.  Have to hassle a bit on email as they are busy building and racing so tend not to answer.  Quoted me about £250 for a one off tank for the RD500

Yes, my thinking too!  Best book.  I think JohnG's coming too?  Should be fun!

And I will see if we can track down a tank...!
