Hi all,

Anyone had a frame straightened??

These guys:

reckon if I get it to them friday, I can have it back wednesday / thursday...

And go to Pembrey on Friday!

Any experience?  And if I have it straightened, should I replace the bearings??

Had a DT175 frame straighened years ago, fairly uneventful.
I take it they mentioned that the front end will need stripping off.
It would be worth mentioning to them that the rear wheel may have the wrong offset. I suspect they will use the swinging arm pivot as a reference for the headstock, but it may confuse them if they check the wheel alignment after straighetening it and find the wheels dont line up.

If your convinced its bent I'd get it done before Pembrey, especially if scrutineering pick up on it and stop you riding.

Yes, I am convinved its bent!  My untrained eye can tell me, and so could the eyes of a few folk at that Superbike School.

Yes, they said the front end will need stripping.  Its no great shakes, without clocks etc.

I'm not sure that the rear wheel does have the wrong offset...  The rest is pretty well put together so I am assuming that the offset is probably right...

Cheers
