Further to Ian's request for info/pics on Michael's tracker project thread, under Projects, I have found on Farcebook a video taken by ANOther unknown attendee of the 1st race of the grid launching and coming through the 1st coner, on their way down to the Railway Bend. Note the 890 Rotax engined, twin cylinder machine at the front. The Vincent 1,300 referred to elsewhere was in the Pre-Injection class that ran separately from those in this video.

Thanks Bill, good while it lasts! I can't understand why people do videos like this in portrait mode showing vast areas of sky & foreground when all they have to do is turn the phone 90 degrees to get landscape.

Aye Ian, plenty of overlap on the cams and not much flywheel I suspect, in that Vinnie engine! You would also have enjoyed hearing the KTM/Rotax 890 twin powered outfit trying to put the power down after the "S" bend, as it came onto the "Start/Finish" straight. Even with the passenger well overboard the rear wheel there was a lot of hopping and wheelspin going on. Similar to the KTM that Dave Molyneux used at his last TT entry. Here's a video link, apologies but it's only available on Farcebook!

Cracking video Bill. Love the footage showing the passenger jumping around. Brave blokes them passengers.
Thanks for posting 👍

Aye Michael, in the case of the Quirk's Vinnie, its his wife and there were many there including an all women crew. Not quick, but still giving it a handful and entertaining themselves and the spectators. Chairs are a whole sub-culture!
