Doesn't Guy Martin have a Merlin on a stand?I seem to remember seeing it on a TV programme once.

Re facebook - I have an account but with all sharing turned off, minimal (ie no) personal info and a fake name. It's useful for a couple of groups, however I would love to ditch it completely. Not only its appalling business model but the dire user interface drive me mad.

Yes Ian, Guy Martin definitely did have a merlin on a stand. However I’m pretty sure he’s since sold it to fund other projects.

Yes, some model engineers do incredible things. A few years ago I went to a model engineering exhibition in Leamington Spa and the quality of some stuff was way ahead of most concours-winning bikes.

Having said that I still prefer something that actually does a useful job.
