Thanks for all the “chin up” posts chaps. Yes stressful indeed, however I hope that once it does finally arrive I will be pootling through the Yorkshire dales on it and all this will be a distant memory 🤞🤞
I’m at the stage with CCM (as a company) that I really wish I’d not gone down this route it has to be said. Although things could be worse, I could have put a drunken bid on that THING that Matt posted up 🤣🤣🤘
Thanks again chaps👍
Cheers, Michael

Ayup Michael

This is a tale of horror indeed and very surprising as I too would have expected a small firm offering high priced bespoke motorcycles to be a little more fair to deal with. Have you thought of getting in touch with Foggy or Dougie Lampkin and asking why they represent the brand when it can't be bothered to treat a new customer acceptably?

All I can offer in comfort is the same as the others, it will be worth it and you will have many, many years of great riding when the Spitfire finally arrives. If you're stuck for a bike to get out on in the mean time my CBF500 is available for you to take a loan of, don't want you missing any early good weather especially as you Yorkshire blokes live in God's own motorcycling country!

Morning Ian, first off many thanks indeed for the offer of the cb500. However, I’m hopeful that all will be resolved today, fingers crossed. I’m expecting a phone call from Ben Clews one of the C’s from C’cm. All I’m asking for is for them to waver the £50 delivery charge. Once they do that I can have the bike delivered to my place, hopefully the beginning of next week. Again fingers crossed.
Cheers, Michael

that THING that Matt posted up 🤣🤣🤘

I will hunt you down and embarrass you out on the road (by parking THING next to your bike 😁)

Good luck with the tossers in suits. If he doesn't at least apologise and waive the £50, his company doesn't deserve your custom.

Matt... if you hunt me down and park the “thing” next to my bike that would clearly mean you’d gone and out and bought the “thing”... in which case when you do hunt me down and park the “thing” next to my bike. I’ll find the nearest pub that’s open and go and buy you a stiff whiskey, as you’ll clearly need one if you’ve parted money on that “thing” 🤣🤣😉👍

What a terrible bike buying experience Michael. I suppose the only way forward is to get the bike, enjoy the hell out of it, and somehow put all this shite in the past, and not let it taint your ownership.

Well... surprise, surprise the “promised “ phone call never came. So to answer your question Ian, NO... bike NOT landed and the situation is no closer to being resolved. I gave them all day yesterday to call but it never came. I’m ringing them first thing on Monday and demanding the bike is delivered, even if I have to pay the blasted £50, I want it in my garage just in case they do go the same route as NORTON ..... I’ll let you know how I get on 🤞🤞

Can't help but wonder if that is their tactic here; no call leaves an "empty space" for you to fill with your worst fear which will then spur you into paying the delivery charge? Sad.

Yes Matt, I totally agree with you. However I genuinely feel for the sake £50 I’d rather make sure the bike is parked in my garage, rather than theirs. Then at least if anything does go sour at least I’ve got something to show for my hard earned 12 mucho grando 😡😡
I’m am just absolutely aghast at their lack of response to it all. I have genuinely been nothing but patient and accommodating to them over the last six months. However I’ve no bargaining power as I’ve shelled out the full amount and they know it. Rat bags 😡

This whole situation is total $hite IMHO. I'm afraid I would not have been as patient as you Michael. I think I would have driven there and been knocking on someone's door etc etc etc. You must have some sort of rights? Unless CCM think they are above all sorts of consumer law. Just my thoughts...at least there will be no "positive feedback"? 🙄🥴

ONCE the missing item has landed and is secure in your garage, with a V5 and 'Official receipt'!  :(

Go canny Michael, catchy monkey first!  ;)

Oh hell Michael I can only sympathise and echo what Bill said, play canny and get the goods then slaughter the bastards in every way possible. A story in MCN and some of the other rags might just save others from being treated like shite.

Can't help thinking this is a company on the edge so getting the bike is an absolute priority.

Bastards.
