Fingers crossed I’ll have it by the weekend, unfortunately won’t be able to ride it as it won’t be legally registered until a week or so later.... not overly fussed though, just be nice to have it in the garage so I can at least sit on it and make brum, brum noises. 😉
One thing I will say, up to now the service I’ve received from CCM has been absolutely appalling. I just hope that the bike is of a higher standard 🤞

Sorry to hear about the service from them. Do you want to expand? That's a bit of a shocker in my opinion. Let's hope you don't need any after sales service 😲

Yes I’ll glady expand Ian, vent some of my frustration hopefully. I’ll condense it to keep it short n sweet. They took my ktm390 and my guzzi in part ex back in September, they then ask for the for the remainder of the money to make up the full balance. I was told I’d have it by the end of November, then it went to mid December. It then went to jan, then feb, I was the one who had to email them, they never once contacted me.  I then had simply had enough so last week I contacted them with an email saying I’d had enough and I wanted the bike by the beginning of April, given the fact they’d had 12 mucho grando of my money for 6 months and I had absolutely nothing to show for it. They’ve now promised me it will be delivered by the weekend but it won’t by legal to ride as it won’t be registered yet with the DVLA. That process usually takes about another two weeks 😡.
Oh and just to rub salt in my wound, they say they want £50 as a delivery charge. I’ve told them they can get lost, so we are now arguing over that. I wouldn’t mind but the factory is approximately 30mins away from where I live, it’s not like it’s a million miles away.
I just hope the bike is worth it🤞🤞
As soon as I can get out for a spin I’ll report back and let you know.... rant over.
Definitely feel a tad more chilled about all after that.
Cheers, Michael

Michael, I'm sure we are all expressing a few expletives just by reading about your experience. It beggars belief that they put themselves forward as a premium manufacturer. I sincerely hope you don't need anything during the "Warranty" period. Thanks for sharing that. I'm sure anyone who reads it and was thinking about purchasing one will probably
be having second thoughts.  (I'm exhausted just reading it!)

Yes Ian, that’s part of my frustration/anger. Part of the reason I chose to spend so much money on a bike was just that. I thought I’d be treated more as a person rather just a number. How wrong I was, I’ve been made to feel that I am just that, a number and nothing more. I’m pretty sure I would have got FAR better service from any one of the local dealerships had I gone down the mass market route. Oh and another thing, when I do contact them, it’s not like they’re all apologetic and nice down the phone. Quite the contrary, they can be very sharp indeed with their tone,  it’s like they’re doing ME the favour. Hang on a minute, am I not the customer here giving THEM 12 mucho grando. Makes my blood boil. Had I not paid the full amount they’d be getting told exactly where to shove their “special “ bike😡😡.... sorry rant over again
Cheers, Michael

Perhaps a personal letter to one of their "silver haired" shareholders, with a mention that the corporate behaviour appears similar to that of a certain Mr Garner?

The brace of machines that I know of locally have, I understand, had finish issues. But, these issues were resolved to their satisfaction when I last spoke with the owners and servicing had not been a problem.

I can make another enquiry, if you would like an update.

Good health, Bill

Just in time, I've managed to find a suitable foil to your Spitfire. Might need some top end work, so that I'm not left too many counties behind....

Cruel! Cruel!  ;)

As would be your crutch in the even of a rapid stop, excepting the fitted front "brake"!

Really sorry to hear all this Michael. It sounds as though they come from the British motor cycle trade of 50 years ago. I can't believe they have taken your money and provided nothing in return -except grief. Here is the link to the relevant CAB helpline-although I sincerely hope it won't be needed https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/get-more-help/if-you-need-more-help-about-a-consumer-issue/

Sounds like a stressful and frustrating business so far. I hope the bike justifies it all when it does finally arrive. I know it's not the point, but it would have been even more irritating if not for the lock down...
