Yes, although some of course have never forgotten them...

Overlooked by whom I ask? The Commando is a far better bike than the Bonneville ecer was. The latter was promoted beyond its ability by its celebrity enthusiasts I'm afraid.

At least that's my opinion.

Here, here! Ian. The Bonni' may have a certain "je ne sais quoi!", but a Commando is still an intercontinetal cruiser, whilst the Bonnie can be found in the chic massage parlours of the North Circular. 

Have a wee looksee at this blog, and enjoy some of the pictures of the machinery. Gino's literary style and opinions may not be to your taste, but he has a good selection of Commando's that get used and fettled. The blog of 27/7/2020 "Impromptu meeting" says it all.
