I finally cracked....

... and went for a ride today. I did what I quite often do on a nice day - chuck the walking boots in the top box and go of somewhere nice in the sticks for a walk. I ended up at Hanbury Church, a truly lovely spot, and went off and did a 4.5 mile walk. The only difference from normal was that there was no cafe afterwards, though I did sit on a bench in the church yard afterwards looking over the Vale of Evesham, with a flask of coffee and some Hobnobs! The ride was a circular route of 30 miles of my favorite B roads, fantastic, a really good day .

Prefer Dark Chocolate Digestives myself. Only trouble is they tend to stick together in warm weather !

Good for you Pete, things like this are needed to keep us sane. Anyway if you had a dog you would be allowed to go and walk it so what's the difference? Doing it your way was entirely responsible and thought out.

Mind you going for a 30 mile ride on a JAWA could push up the pollution figures again from all that two stroke oil! Only joking Pete.

Now to the serious business of which biscuits go well with a flask; I favour choc chip cookies. Lovely chocolateness and no melting. But for real ecstasy it has to be a cheese sandwich made with extra strong cheddar and fresh crusty bread.

Yes, that was me Ian. I took the black 'un which has been laid up since October last year, and I couldn't believe how it smoked for the first five miles  . However, by the time I got home there wasn't a wisp of smoke to be seen. Its scratched the itch for now, but I will be doing the same again :- at the speeds the Jawa is capable of I can't see how it's any more dangerous than riding the bicycle...
