What motorcycle would you buy?
« on: April 15, 2020, 10:15:11 PM »
Ok, lockdown game alert!

You've got £5k to spend on a bike currently for sale online.

Here's my choice, costing £3699, with the change going to a professional to create wheelchair access for my son;

I like both of those guys!

Here's mine :- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324089589385

I had a Funduro a few years ago and really like it, but these offer a really quirky road bike look and FI which gives much better fuel economy.

Right I like this game and if I've done it properly I would go for;

eBay item number:
233511576726

I know it doesn't look right but I'm sure you can find it. I have a thing about 400cc singles having had an SR Yamaha and a GN Suzuki neither of which I should have sold. If finances were different I would be seriously talking to Herald about one of their 400cc classics.

Mine would most likely be the red and white triumph speed triple... number 283844108916,
Miss my triples I’ve gotta say. Also I gotta say “good game, good game “ to coin a well know game show phrase 😉😉👍

That's the very one Ian, lovely and very practical particularly with an electric start. That was the only drawback with the SR and the GN they were both kickstart only.

Totally impractical (probably) but I just love the look of these Italian mini-thumpers of 150 / 175cc. Although this one dates from the 60s most of them were manufactured in the 50s. I'd settle for a Mondial / Morini / Gilera / Bianchi etc!

Aye Rossco,

The MV's a bonnie bike, but I suspect a bling special!  :(

Half full nuts on the ends of the axles.

Brake arms half on the splines and the front brake arm at angle that would indicate little or no effect when applied.  :o

As for what would I throw a few bob at?

One of these, not necessarily this one: MT350

And one of these and put a 10ton Boughton or Cookes timber winch on the back of it, even though it is out of the price range!  ;) ;) ;): Field_Marshall_tractor

Dream on sunshine!  ;)  Stay clear of the lurgy.

Good health, Bill

A lad I work with has an Anniversary special edition one of these with an Akrapovic can. It sounds really good and he says it goes very well too. His other ride is an immaculately restored 350LC Power Valve...
