The jury’s out?.

Proper thumper on return of the cafe racer site, in the form of a BSA goldie. I’m sure it will upset a few purists out there.... name withheld to protect the innocent 😇😉

Nice. Has a hint of the new Brough's styling to my eyes...

yes That’s the one Bill..... yes I also thought it had a bit of a brough superior look about it too Pete.
I do quite like it. Bet there’s a few goldie purists out there that are spitting out their beer tho 😉
Ps... thanks for the link Bill 👍

well..... i'm a huge fan of all things 'cafe', witness all the srx's i've tricked up in the past.....
but.... as far as i'm concerned the Goldie Clubman was/is the epitome of a cafe racer as delivered from the works.
for them to say

' I thought why not take an iconic British bike and revamp it with a few cafe racer cues here and there. The bike I had in mind for the project was a 500cc BSA Goldstar Clubman.'

is a bit of a joke, before they started work on it IT ALREADY WAS A CAFE RACER !

i'm not a purist by any means, and this bike looks great, not my cup of tea, but i can appreciate the work put into it. i don't see this machine as practical, a bit of bling for someone with a lot of dosh.
