Just got a new toy ! 1996 Honda c90, fsh  and a genuine 6250 miles,   mot next week then hopefully do some miles while I can.  ps, it's electric start !

It did when I had it in 1964. I had two brake downs with it, first one I holed a piston and it broke a tooth in the gearbox and the second was a broken valve spring. Surprisingly when I discovered the valve spring had broken [down on power] I was two up. We set off from Blackpool where I lived at the time and had gone about 40 miles when it broke. We were heading for Liverpool and on to Chester and instead of aborting the trip we carried on. We made it to Chester and all the way back home would you believe! I would love to have another one again but they command a lot of money.

Aye Mike,

I had an ST70 in the early '70's, top whack of about 35mph - 40mph down the Kerrow Brae into Cannich! It used to nip the piston every time I went to Inverness (30 miles), but give it 10 minutes to cool off and away it went again. Never took it apart and sold it for more than I paid for it. 

A wee 'Postie' or C110 would be very nice, but getting harder to find and as you say, can be pricey.

Some excitement today ! I ordered a rear carrier for my c90 and it arrived today, £20 including postage, new item, a good fit and looks fine.
