Seeking a camshaft for my XBR. The original part is 14100MK4700. Honda no longer support these models and camshafts are unobtainable from dealers. Alternatively does anyone know of a supplier of performance XBR camshafts, a little more go will be nice.

Slightly offtopic but reasonably relevant.....

How polite of you to say that "Honda no longer support these models"

They sometimes come up secondhand on Ebay but you take the risk of them being worn too.  Alternatively you could get your cam rebuilt/reprofiled - I haven't used this firm but they have been recommended by another club member.

White Brothers did a performance cam for the GB500, don't know if that is still available but it would be expensive

I dunno if this helps but cmsnl.com have got 14100-MK4-710 camshafts in stock. MK4 is listed as the model code for XBR500 but I don't know what the 700/710 is all about. However, since my top end has recently started making horrible maracca type noises I may be finding out very shortly  :(

Anyway, they have 2 left. Heres a linky if you're interested...

What I should have said was I don't know what the difference between 14100-MK4-700 and 14100-MK4-710 is. I didn't realise there were several different ones depending on specific model and year etc.  :-\

I took a look at that camshaft and the description is not accurate, While all the rfcv cams will work on any motor there are differences in the timing, for example the xr600 cam opens at 35' the xbr and gb cams open at 40'. The best bet is to get the cam built up and reground, or alternatively if you can do without the automatic decompressor and wish a little extra performance then a hotcam stage 1 would do the job and are very reasonably priced (available on ebay)

I have used KentCams before to reprofile a camshaft and found them to be very good. www.kentcams.com and they list XBR500 for both road and race cams.
