Hey Rog, you've got a T500? wow I had one of those back in the 70's. Wish I still had it.
All they ever neededwas real shockers on the back as the originals were in fact real shockers! Post a pic sometime. I'm still on the hustings for a suitable one to restore. Till then the MuZ and the Silverwing will have to do. I've also got a GR650 in bits in the garage, ETA for restoration August/ September, dunno which year tho!

As I said in bits...

Currently has an Astralite wheel poked in the back to see if it looks better, and the tank and seat are away at this guy (Here) who is making molds from the seat and fairing - not in the pic, but apparently comes off a 1970's Kwak 3 - he was going to copy the tank too but it is just too rough.

Front end is Guzzi V50, was looking for a spoked wheel but if I either modify the swinging arm to make space for the Astralite, or get a different swinging arm then the cast front will look OK - mind a nice gold 18" Astralite front would look good too.

The engine in there is empty cases, I have a complete engine in a box waiting to go in as and when I get the rolling chassis sorted.

Frame is a GT250, with some bracing added - not quite right the bracing but it will do.  We had to cut the frame rails at the front and weld in a section of the T500 frame as the exhausts and frame were in the same place.

Has only been an on going project for about 25 years, so I guess another 25 will see it finished  ;D

GC... yes thats it, but looks more like Rog's T500 at the moment,

Rog... I'm amazed you could get that lump into the T250 frame.. looks like you've got a bit of work there.

Anybody.. got some good pics of a very rare bike over here today, The old split single Puch. Still ugly, but makes a nice addition to my small collection of weird and unusual bikes. This one appeared to be restored, apart from the rusty  silencers.

Ah how did it go into the GT250 frame... Welll a large hammer was needed - the frame has been 'relieved' in a couple of places and the engine cases are filed at the back to get some clearance.

Not a lot of space for the heads to go in and I have drilled and threaded some of the head bolts to let me brace it all to the frame - mind it will be the only engine mont with no rubber bushing so I guess I should think of that?

Wonder if it will ever progress?
