My mate bought a 1965 Ford Anglia estate today for £300. It runs and drives ok (not that it matters, he has his own car repair business) and just needs painting. It was taken to a body shop four years ago and somehow never ended up being done and the owner lost interest. If he Ebay'd it he would probably get £800+ for it.
He's a jammy git, but he's also a nice guy who deserves his luck.
His ultimate plan is to fit the 70s 2 litre Alfa Romeo engine he has lurking at the back of the garage ::)

Nice idea.
Id only end up traffic light racing with ford escorts though :(

I saw the car today, it's all there and looks like it's easy to get back on the road, especially as it has a brand new stainless exhaust and some new wings :o
Mike told me about the front bumper and grill being missing, but then the owner turned up to complete the sale and had those parts in his car along with some paperwork including the original bill of sale from 1965. He then told Mike that he had converted the head for unleaded fuel before losing interest in the car.
Lucky, lucky, lucky

GC, are you jealous because he's got a car you love and want which you would cherish or the fact that he could make some easy money. ???

Steady Mark, you're showing your hand there. Of course it's because it's such a nice car in fantastic condition.
Make money on a vehicle? what is this strange concept of which you speak? ::) ;)
