You don't need to speak German, the pictures are multilingual  ;)
Wonder what the tank is from....?

Aye Smudge,
Looks abit like a NCR 22 litre job or a 'pattern' model. Seat, side covers, tank and fairing all appear to be 900SS derivatives or similar. Mirrors on the fairing appear 'naff', but suspect TuV "Must be obeyed!"

Toodle pip, Bill.

They look quite nice on it though, quite suits the half fairing and alloy tank I think  :)

Here's a couple more to keep Pat's enthusiasm up  ;)

Last one for tonight because it's too lovely not to share, I recognise the motor but just can't place it  :-\?

That is lovely. What a good effort. It's a shame it will never live up to its looks, but anyone would be proud to have that in their garage.

Smudge , looks like SR500/400 , smacks of French firm , VD Classics .
They do some great takes on Sr's , bonnies , w650 etc .

Top lads .

All depends what you mean by "live up to it's looks"... remember it's styled after a time where, outside the racetracks, 100mph was worthy of comment! A decent jap 250-400cc thumper like that, especially in a lightened cafe racer style is probably good for over 90, but with handling and brakes. Compare it to an RE Crusader Cafe Racer or similar and it looks pretty convincing  ;) We tend to forget that we're spoiled in an era where almost everything will top the ton and 145mph bikes are classed as "tourers"  :o
Oh and you're right, it looks lovely (to my weird sense of style anyway  :D)

No way am I going to show the lad David that - he's already adopted Guinevere as his own, especially now it's got a £30 Feked 'fruity' tailpipe - little stiffy on first hearing it!  I can just imagine the mess he'd make of my shed trying to cobble together a caff racer like this.

Nice though, and as for the VD SR - "PHWOAR!"

Goodnight!  :)

Don't show my wife! ::)  :-* I get a large hole in the bank balance feeling and have to agree that it looks 'Right'! ;D Nae, Bellisimo!

Safe trundle tomorrow, I hope the galoshes are all well waxed. I'll be thrashing a keyboard composing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for my sins. :( :( :(

My regards, Bill.
