Well...our trip to Switzerland was stopped yesterday, P&O have closed the Hull-Zeebrugge route, so is the meeting at Dent on?

I have been in touch with Mick at Conder Farm.
We still have the original dates of 31st July,1st & 2nd August penned in unless there is any other suggestions but I really do need to confirm a date so that we can get priority at the site.
I still have a very good, big BBQ which has its own stand, still up there. We can use the farms' marquee as well.
Dependant on pub facilities I discussed perhaps getting a barrel or two of beer as I have done before, Mick could arrange this from Dent brewery if they start brewing again.
The local butcher in Sedburgh delivers on a Thursday to the village and I would be prepared to get an order in for food.
Mick also said that he would be prepared to do a big stew for the Friday evening.
I will be getting a load of hand sanitizer for Mick.
Wendy at the farm is in the high risk catagory so no one is allowed in the farm kitchen as has been the norm.

These are all possibilities and I need to act fast to get this sorted. Any suggestions will be taken into consideration, especially the date.

Cheers Steve

Hi Steve - hope all is well with everyone

Just a heads up but given the events so far this year some of the lads are still a bit cautious about travelling too far for a while - unfortunately I think its unlikely that the NI contingent will be able to make it over. If it goes ahead hope every enjoys themselves.

Regards to all

Hi Steve, is it possible to go back to........
'Ok guys. I have had some feedback about a date and I am now going to suggest the 10th, 11th 12th JULY'........
.....as I was working around that date for the possible meeting due to our Swiss trip being cancelled, unfortunately today we've booked a campsite near Beverley for 31 July 1/2 Aug for a Wobbler (little bikes) meet.
I was going to let you know in case you wanted to join us.
Dave.

I'm sorry but may I put forward the suggestion that we let Steve D pick the date as he is the one doing the hard work. The rest of us have arrangements too so if you can't get to the rally so be it.

Well, look at that! July 31/ Aug 1&2 don't look bad for me as well! I will try to be there, really do not want to miss that this year!

Hi Steve and all,

This sounds like another great rally in a brilliant spot and I must say it's more tempting than ever. But I'm in the same boat as Tony and the rest of the NI crew. With the way things are moving here and all the current advice against travel I think an overseas trip will not happen for me this year.

All the best, hope you all have a brilliant and safe one and hope to see you all next year!

Dave.

The problem with that date is that I feel its a bit too early and the Reservoir Frogs are there that weekend. Thats Mick Roe and croneys etc.
I don't know if the 6 persons in a bubble will still be in place or even if the pubs will be open.
There will be a mad dash to get ot there camping in any case and I don't want to put Mick on the spot as I have had a good relationship with him and Wendy for many a year now.
It doesn't sound as if he has considered sanitation of toilet facilities yet or the numbers that he can have on site. I am keeping in touch with him to get up to date info. I would hate for a load of us to rock up and get him into trouble with either the locals or the council.

Dave, thanks for the offer but I don't know what I'm doing at the moment................................I've got really busy all of a sudden!
Will be in touch.

Cheers Steve

Hi Steve, thanks for the reply, I understand the problems with camping, in fact the site we're going to near Beverley first opens at the end of July....if all goes to plan we'll be there from Friday to Monday, I'll PM you the details in case you want to join us after the TC meet.
Dave.
ps...I was up in your neck of the woods last Friday, went up to see a friends engineering facility (+bike collection) and he's just started a micro brewery between Holmfirth and Huddersfield.
