xbr pipes
« on: November 14, 2019, 11:18:32 PM »
hi guys, I,m getting nearer to  the end of my long  term xbr 660  project next thing is getting some pipes made up , what I would like is two of those moto gp cans you can find online easy enough ,and I have seen a few  on bikes and they don't look to bad so my question is .Am I better running two separate pipes eg one either side the bike or am I better off with a 2 into 1 into 2  ,,or just a 2 into 1  any help on this would be great ta tommy

Morning Tommy, I ran my cafe racer and will be running my tracker (when it's done 🤣😉) with a 2 in to 1 system. Ran absolutely fine, no problems whatsoever. The ikuzawa I had (XBR engine, Harris frame race bike) ran a 2 in to 1 system but the two pipes were mated together within 6 inches of coming out of the cylinder. They mated into a 2 inch pipe right through to the end can. Unfortunately you can't really do this with the standard XBR frame as you have the centre frame tube running down between the pipes.... cheers, Michael

I run my big bore 2 into 1 race pipe, but now would prefer a 2 into 2
