I've probably mentioned this before on here, but just in case I haven't, here's a link
https://iwbeerandbuses.co.ukIt's a brilliant weekend. The crack is that about 40 odd old preserved busses run 3 or 4 circular routes on the Saturday and Sunday, dropping off at participating pubs along the route. The busses are free on presentation of your £10 event program which also contains enough 50p off a pint vouchers to easily cover the cost of the program.
To make the most of the event, the tip is to get the ferry on Friday lunchtime, get to your accomodation and drop the bags and then go for a bit of a pub crawl just to ease yourself in, as it were
. Saturday and Sunday 'on the busses' and possible to include a run on the IOW steam railway if that would float your boat, and return on an early ferry on Monday. It's best to book B & B type accomodation with good access to one of the bus routes really, though I guess you could camp if you really wanted too.
If anybody's interested, get in touch and wee could make it a TC end of season bash
