rev counter (electronic)
« on: April 04, 2019, 04:28:36 PM »
Is it possible to fit an electronic rev counter to a single cylinder suzuki ,  I suppose what I mean is ... is it easy to fit  one to a suzuki ? my LS400 doesn`t have one at all, a learned friend says it would just connect to the coil but that seems too simple, I don`t mind if it`s digital or a whizzy round pointer type.

just depends on the iput requirements of the particular rev counter, some take a pulse from the ht lead by simply wrapping the pulse wire 3 turns round ht lead (not common these days) others take their input from the lt trigger to the coil. and i'm sure there are other types as well. but none should be difficult to set up,
