Not everyone's cup of tea i realise, but I love speedway!
I plan to attend as many of Wolves home fixtures as possible, so please feel free to meet up if you are in the west midlands, and fancy it. All meets appear to be on Monday nights at 19:30, and my first one will be this Monday 30th April  :)

Excellent, I think Wolverhampton have a strong team this year!

The Brummies ride in the National League, and whilst it's good to see the youngsters having a go (Leon Flint who is 15 scored a paid max for us last weekend!), it has to be said that the quality of racing is much better in the top two leagues.

I'm hoping the Brummies will move up into the Championship league next year.

Yes, a bit of local rivalry would be good  ;)

Enjoyed my first trip to Monmore Stadium. Great racing, and a win against Kings Lynn Stars  ;)

I've got a bit of a soft spot for Wolverhampton. Back in the day Wolverhampton and Birmingham used to be run by the same promoters, Birmingham in the top league and Wolverhampton in the National League. Wolves were effectively the Birmingham 'B' team and they shared some riders so we quite often used to go over to Monmore Green on a Sunday afternoon for the craic.

The tables have turned a bit now, with Wolverhampton being a way bigger team than Birmingham. I guess if the Brummies ever closed down I'd start going to Monmore Green, but it's a bit of a bugger to get to for me, especially on a week night.

If anyone is interested, the British Championships is at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff on 21st July. By all accounts a great day out, and pretty much the biggest day in the callender drawing fans from all over Britain. Wolves are running a few coaches down to it  ;)
