Honda Intake rubber
« on: December 27, 2016, 10:04:21 AM »
The Honda XBR has a straight intake rubber, but some of the rvfc bikes used an intake which was angled to the right, does anyone know what bikes these were, I can then order a new one

Aye joolz,
May I suggest that radiator hoses can provide the correct diameter and bends in some cases?  ;)
Just a thought.
My regards, Bill

Thanks for that, I did give it a try but there is not enough room for the straight intake stub, it has to be one of the angled stubs, just not sure what bikes the angled stubs were fitted to, I think one of the XR600 models but maybe a few other models were as well, I just need conformation

My apologies joolz, "stub" not "hose" being the operative word!  :-[  In which case "I no nothing!"  ::)

However, this link does appear to show said angled stub and I hope this helps: CMS_parts_1988_XR600_cyl-head

Alternative might be to cut and then weld at an angle a standard 'straight' stub.

My regards, Bill

Hi Joolz. The Dommie carb inlet rubber is straight, but the carb on the FX650Vigor, and SLR definetley sits at an angle, to one side. Might be worth a look  ;)

Have a look on Lings Honda site, parts catalogue, and also NRP, carb specialists. In fact, a phone or email to NRP may well get you sorted  ;)

I have had a look at the various intakes, looks like the FX and SLR intakes are angled to the left (no good for me) but the XR600R is angled to the right, which should be perfect for my project.
Thank you all for your suggestions and help
