Weekend compeition
« on: March 30, 2007, 03:30:44 PM »
Last Sunday I lost one of the Bonneville's keys. This morning Karen found it.

I'll buy a large Whiskey (or whatever your poison) for anyone who successfully guesses where it was.

No clues except to say the key still works.

In the filter in the washing machine?

Still in the bike?

Inside the lining of your helmet?

Inside one of your gloves?

Stuck to the magnet of a magnetic tank bag?

If your anything like me, I always find keys to vehicles that I have lost a day or two later in the ignition still.
Or if its me van, I find them hanging from the padlock on the rear door hasp :)

All good guesses so far, but the Whiskey is safe.

The ignition was the second place I looked. Having spent £150 and half a day installing a ground anchor and BFO chain, I now actually prefer the chain lock to the ignition when at home, but it wasn't there either.

The dog poo was also a possibility, but experience tells me the gestation period of a Collie-Alsation cross pupy is more like 24-48 hours, so that idea was out by Wednesday (although we did find the dish cloth- yuck).

I don't have trouser turn up's or a beard, but there is time if they'll trap anything useful.

Pockets are the one thing I'm good at. Years of travelling to dodgy places means I do keep the same thing in the right pocket when I actually use them. In this case failing to use them lost the key.

The washing machine/hoover ideas are closest but no cigar.

Answer tomorrow.

In your pipe?

Stuck to the heel of your boot with old chewing gum?

Stuck in the tyre tread of your van?

Dirty clothes basket?

Clean clothes basket?

Down the back of the sofa?

Down behind the radiator?

In the bin?

I give up, I'm getting silly now.

Things we will do for a whisky / whiskey - depending on it being Scotch or Irish I think.  Mmm well I was looking to trade the whisky for a bike part and so on until I have swapped it out for a working bike.  But then I will just take it apart.

Ohhh nooooooo Its Captain Entropy
