Andy..............the offer still stands, the bike is 99% ready to go, but keeps popping the head gasket on the RHS, so need to drop the engine out, take off head and barrel, and get them 'faced', it's the only thing we havn.t tried.......all the threads have been helicoiled etc etc, once done, it's ready to go, and is a stonking engine........might benifit from new progressive springs in the forks. could probably get it done for snetterton, you could have a thrash round and see what it's like. I can manage 1.21 at snetterton, which i was quite chuffed with....until i read in mcn that on BSB practice they were on 1.02's.........puts it all in perspective don't it.....

Hey steve,

Thats a kind offer!  Maybe getting it ready for Snett is a bit optimistic- we both have rather a lot on our plates, but its not impossible.  Or take my (less stonking) engine out and put it in in lieu of your hotter motor till we get it done.

What forks are they? Currently I have 43mm FZR400 items.  I may get these "worked on", not sure yet.  So maybe slot these in.

Am I right in thinking its a 620 in a TZ chassis??

Cheers for now, speak to you soon!  Thanks again

hi andy, how'd the weekend go?
Its a 640, 10 point something piston, carillo rod, yoshimura stage 2 cam, twin 36mm amals, magnesium cases and wheels, in a tz250 chassis, not sure about the forks, will measure them tomorrow., when's snetterton?, shouldn't take too long to get fixed, maybe 2 weeks.

Steve-

Motor sounds more pokey than mine, certainly better to have a race chassis than my 20 year old road one.  All in a better package, am definately very interested!

Snetterton is Sunday 6th & Monday 7th (Bank Holiday) May.

Where will we get the head n barrel faced?  Only folks I know (ie. trust!) are Slipstream but I'm sure your guys would do as good a job, almost certainly cheaper, etc.

Cheers for now, speak t'ya soon mate!
